Nuclear Instruments developed the first version of the Sci-Compiler. It was a command-line software that allowed to configure the Caen DT5550 digitizer board, which is as a platform to build custom data acquisition systems, in particular to debug and test user designed ASIC or custom analog preamplifiers.
There was no block diagram and programming was done by selecting functionalities in a list and then setting parameters in a form.
